Programming a UK drill pattern
- Set 140–145 BPM. Drill drums are written around a half-time snare on beat 3, sometimes with an extra snare just before it.
- Place hats in triplet and off-grid groups rather than straight 16ths. The bounce comes from where the hats sit, not from how many there are.
- Make the bass slide: overlap two notes and turn on glide/portamento (around 60–120 ms) in your sampler.
- Keep the kick short so the bass slides stay clear. In drill the bass carries the low end; the kick is mostly the click.

Can I use these in a release?
Yes. Every sound here comes from a recording released under CC0 1.0 (public domain). Use it in commercial tracks, beats and videos, with no royalties and no credit required. The one thing you can't do is resell the sounds themselves as a sample pack. SOURCES.txt in the ZIP lists the original recording for each file. More on licensing.
