Licensing
Can I use these commercially?
Plain-language summary of your license. The full Terms of Service (§4, Soundbank License — linked in the site footer on the homepage) is the legally binding version — this page answers the question producers actually ask before buying.
✓ You CAN
- Use any sample, loop, or one-shot in your own original tracks, released commercially or not.
- Monetize releases that use these samples on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Beatport, TikTok, and anywhere else — no royalties owed back to us, ever.
- Use them in sync licensing, film, games, and paid client work.
- Use them in an unlimited number of your own productions — one purchase covers everything you make with it, forever.
✗ You CANNOT
- Resell, redistribute, or share the raw, unmodified sample files themselves — as a "sample pack," a stem kit, or bundled into another pack.
- Upload the raw, unaltered files to another sample marketplace or library.
- Claim authorship of the underlying sound design itself (the finished song you make with it is entirely yours).
In short: the license is "use freely in your own music, don't resell the samples as samples." This matches the industry-standard royalty-free model used by every major sample library — we're just stating it in plain language instead of only in legal boilerplate.
Frequently asked
Do I need to credit PhaseForge?
No. Credit is appreciated but never required — the license doesn't obligate you to mention where a sound came from.
What if a label or distributor asks for proof of license?
Your purchase receipt and license key are your proof of purchase. If a distributor or PRO specifically needs written confirmation, contact support with your order details.
Can I use these in a template or project file I sell?
No — a project file (FLP, ALS, etc.) that contains the raw sample audio is still distributing the raw files, which falls under the same restriction as reselling the samples directly. You can sell a template that references the samples by name (so a buyer who separately owns the pack can load them), but not one that bundles the actual audio.
Does the license expire, or renew per year?
No. It's a one-time purchase, one-time license — there's no subscription, renewal, or expiration on anything you've bought.
What about the AI Studio tools (stem splitting, mastering, MIDI)?
Anything you upload to the Studio stays yours — PhaseForge claims no rights over files you process there, and uploads are deleted automatically within the hour regardless of the result.
