Making a riser land on the drop
- Line the end of the riser up with the downbeat of the drop, not its start with the build. Trim or time-stretch the front so the peak lands exactly on bar 1.
- Stack two risers of different character, for example a bright noise sweep with a darker tonal one, and high-pass the lower one so they do not fight.
- Automate a high-pass filter on the music bus during the build at the same time. The riser feels bigger when the rest of the mix gets thinner.
- Cut the riser to silence (or a short reverse reverb) for a beat before the drop. The gap makes the drop hit harder than any extra layer.

Can I use these in a release?
Yes. Every sound here comes from a recording released under CC0 1.0 (public domain). Use it in commercial tracks, beats and videos, with no royalties and no credit required. The one thing you can't do is resell the sounds themselves as a sample pack. SOURCES.txt in the ZIP lists the original recording for each file. More on licensing.
