Making a minimal groove from four sounds
- Put the kick on every beat at 124–130 BPM and keep it short. Minimal techno lives in the gaps between the kicks.
- Place the hat and percussion on uneven 16ths, then shift single hits a few milliseconds off the grid for groove.
- Use the synth as a short stab, and automate its filter cutoff and decay slowly over the track.
- Change one small thing every 8 or 16 bars. In minimal techno, small changes are what holds attention.

Can I use these in a release?
Yes. Every sound here comes from a recording released under CC0 1.0 (public domain). Use it in commercial tracks, beats and videos, with no royalties and no credit required. The one thing you can't do is resell the sounds themselves as a sample pack. SOURCES.txt in the ZIP lists the original recording for each file. More on licensing.
