Using textures under a track
- Put a texture under a track at low volume. It should fill space you feel rather than hear.
- High-pass the texture around 150–300 Hz so it doesn't muddy the bass and kick.
- Use a slow auto-pan or a long reverb to make the texture move. Static texture becomes noise after a minute.
- Pitch a texture down an octave or reverse it for a transition into a new section.
Can I use these in a release?
Yes. Every sound here comes from a recording released under CC0 1.0 (public domain). Use it in commercial tracks, beats and videos, with no royalties and no credit required. The one thing you can't do is resell the sounds themselves as a sample pack. SOURCES.txt in the ZIP lists the original recording for each file. More on licensing.
